Fabulous, @Denyse Allen! What a terrific list bundled into one neat spot... plus, of course, Substack's on image generation tools. Thank you.

My project is all illustrated and includes lots of drawings as well as comics. In fact most of what I am doing now will be in comic format.

Are museums in the UK on a digitizing streak the way they are here? It’s nice to see 3D objects represented in digital form and not just paintings, sketches, etc.

We’re a bit slower in that respect over here sadly, but hopefully in the next few years we will see a lot more, unfortunately it’s the cost of these projects that is always the problem

Thanks for this lįst. Į was wondering how to find images for illustrations.

Your thoughts must have had me hit publish today. I’ve had that in drafts for weeks.

It’s very useful. Last time I needed images for a website (my daughter’s consultancy, three or four years ago) I found them on Unsplash, but that seems not to be free anymore. So I was a bit lost where to look.

Denyse, Great list for images! Thanks.

Thank you for compiling this, Denyse. Great resource. IMO, it's not a great story unless you have a map, a photo, big picture weather, disease, economic, political background, and quotes from a period diary. Newspaper clips are great also.
